I can hardly credit that there are people who believe it is not only acceptable, but preferable that they allow government officials touch their children's privates in the name of safety.
Mommy to 5 or 6 year old daughter:
Sweety let the nice lady touch your privates, it's OK really, they are just trying to keep you safe, then go pee in a cup, in their presence, so they can test you for drugs...egads..... is there no level sooo low that a government employee won't sink to in the name of the mother land?

I see that the parents were on Good Morning America today talking about how upset their daughter was afterwords. How she is now confused about why some folks can touch your privates in public, how this is contrary to the way she was raised.
But they stepped aside, they allowed it to happen, they did not raise a fuss, they did not grab up their kids and leave, attempt ot rent a car. Reason being?
The TSA supervisor non-verbally let them know that if they gave them a hard time that there would be hell to pay. What now the herders can quell the sheep with a look? Glory we are in some serious troubles.

I saw that too. I cannot imagine any look is going to make me allow this to happen.
I say let there be hell to pay, it ain't gonna be me paying it. They had a video camera and were filming the whole time, so, why not raise a fuss, and get that on video? Let everyone see what the TSA's "hell to pay" would have been.
'Course, it easier to do it the way they did it, and complain afterwards. IMO, it would have been better for the child to see Mama willing to take on all comers to keep strangers hands off her child.

I think I would have grabbed up my baby and walked out, dirty look or not. I wonder if the parents were just so flabbergasted, that they were shocked, kinda like deer in the headlights....but yes that child now knows that the parents actually are not capable of protecting her when the chips are down. Not a nice piece of knowledge to have at 6 I would think.
