You mean he lied to get into your panties?

never say so...Thats unheard of.

Sabbar Kashur, 30, was sentenced to 18 months in prison on Monday after the court ruled that he was guilty of rape by deception. According to the complaint filed by the woman with the Jerusalem district court, the two met in downtown Jerusalem in September 2008 where Kashur, an Arab from East Jerusalem, introduced himself as a Jewish bachelor seeking a serious relationship. The two then had consensual sex in a nearby building before Kashur left.

So she meets a guy and he tells her he is a Jew and wants an old ball and chain, same day she gives up the honey looking to purchase said man's future potential earnings, wallet and assets with apparently her only asset. (because brains certainly aren't in her mix)
When she later found out that he was not Jewish but an Arab, she filed a criminal complaint for rape and indecent assault.
Well colour me old fashioned, moralistic and all but maybe, just maybe if she like ..talked to him, knew him more then two hours before forking over in the hopes of entrancing him with her horizontal moves, she might have figured this out all on her itty bitty own?

Because you gotta know if he was indeedy Jewish he would have been her soul mate and father of all her inseminated eggs. He would have called back, it would have all worked out perfectly according to her plans. That must be how it plays out in her mind.

When the very basis of trust between human beings drops, especially when the matters at hand are so intimate, sensitive and fateful, the court is required to stand firmly at the side of the victims – actual and potential – to protect their wellbeing. Otherwise, they will be used, manipulated and misled, while paying only a tolerable and symbolic price."

Sorry I had to go find something to retch in......Unbearable price? Sanctity of bodies and souls? Innocent victims? Intimate, fateful and sensitive? What the hell are they yapping about? Again no personal responsibility here for little Miss fork it over in a few hours. Can she chalk it up on the bedpost for experience sake? Hell no not our victim......Poor women they still neeeed protecting from the oldest game in the world don't cha know.

I can't believe a real court did this.....scratch that, I can believe it, I just don't want to.

ummm... so if a teen girl lies about her age and says she is 17 when she is really 15 (let's say consentual age is 16), and the guy believes her and jumps in bed.... does that not mean he could theoretically counter her statuatory rape charges by saying that SHE raped HIM by lying in order to get him in bed?

I thought that 'rape' was forcing someone to have intercourse against their will. Can the laws over there be just different enough to let this case slide through? It's hardly against her will - it was just a lie. How many people have been lied to before engaging in intercourse? My gosh, the charges would be never-ending and the prisons spilling out into the streets (more than they already are).

Like I said it is the oldest game in the books really. What I find interesting in this law is that it seeks to protect people from the lies that they tell themselves. I happened upon this case in an other link that had an interview with the accused who stated that it took fifteen minutes after his declaration of being a Jew and wanting a serious relationship. This hardly makes her a rocket scientist does it? The article also stated that he has already spent TWO YEARS OF HIS LIFE in house arrest awaiting trial. What a farce.

Large price to pay for a not very discriminating piece I would say.

I have stayed away from the racial religious undertones of this whole case, but the more I think about it I have to wonder.....
