Luka Rocco Magnotta was arrested in Berlin Monday after a four-day international manhunt that spanned three countries.
The 29-year-old Canadian wanted over a horrific Montreal ice pick murder and decapitation of a Chinese student that he allegedly filmed and posted to the Internet, was arrested in or near an Internet cafe, Berlin police said.
A Canadian official has confirmed the arrest to The Canadian Press.

Dalton McGiunty is looking to get re-elected this October. He knows his rubber is about to meet the road. He is willing to do all he can to change his fate..all he can such as pandering to select groups, bribing them with our money.

That’s all you can say about the Dalton McGuinty Liberals’ plan to give a $10,000 tax credit to companies that hire newcomers to this country.
It is bald-faced pandering to the immigrant vote.
As an immigrant, I can tell them, no one’s fooled.
The Liberals launched their platform Monday at a glitzy rally to party faithful in downtown Toronto.
This item overshadowed everything else.
Thousands of people — young and old — have lost their jobs in recent years. Our manufacturing sector has been decimated, in part due to McGuinty’s disastrous electricity policies.
But this government is going to throw $12 million into a program that will skew the hiring scene for home-grown job seekers.
Imagine this: A company is hiring staff. There are two applicants. One is a young person recently arrived in this country, speaking little English. He or she has no background and no history of working and paying taxes in this country.
The other applicant is a young person who was educated here. Who’s paying taxes. Whose parents paid taxes and who’ve contributed to this community in countless ways. The young person probably has a student debt.
Who’ll get the job? Well, McGuinty’s just given employers 10,000 reasons to hire the newcomer.
This isn’t what immigration to this country is all about.

If you have a problem with this policy? Dalton has already come out and said you are a racist and divisive TEA-PARTY type american immigrant hater. Not what the Liberals are all about at all, they are all that is compassionate, helping your fellow man, giving a hand up,  loving, caring Liberals.

 Remember folks if they give it, they can take it away. Even universal free health care subsidies.

Dalton McGuinty, (a man so evil, even by slimy politician standards, that I am sure he glows in the dark) has allowed the ministry to cancel special diet nutrition subsidies and certainly signed the death warrant for some of our most vulnerable citizens.

The 21-year-old Ottawa man has Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a degenerative disease of the muscles that has him confined to a wheelchair with a host of other related ailments, including heart and respiratory problems.

He weighs all of 30 kilograms and requires a special diet, high in nutrition and one that permits him to swallow without choking. He cannot afford to lose weight.

His diet, much of it prepared by his mother, Liliane Robinson, keeps that in check.

He needs round-the-clock care from his mother, with whom he lives in a two-bedroom highrise apartment on Halifax Drive, off Walkley Road.

When he turned 18, Brian qualified for financial help from the Ontario Disability Support Program that included a modest allowance for living expenses and $250 to help pay for the diet.

But the Ministry of Community and Social Services decided - against the recommendations of its own panel of health professionals - that Brandon and other muscular dystrophy sufferers with weight-loss issues will no longer receive the allowance

I can't believe the whitewashing and free ride a certain Jack Layton is getting just because he died.

Yes it is sad that he died in such a nasty way, cancer is horrible and I have no wish to see it again.

Yes he was only 61 and when your over thirty one realizes that 61 is indeed not a very long life.

Yes he was a husband and father and I am sure that his wife will miss him and his children will too.

All these things are true, but what else is true is he was a politician, his snout has been in the trough since he drew his first paycheck and it stayed there all his life.

He and his wife lived in subsidized housing in Toronto while they were both making good salaries as city counselors. They made a big deal about being one of the only families that "paid going rate" but come on they paid nothing near Toronto rates.

The Man was an NDP, not that all politicians aren't basically the same, the NDP have spectacular ability to think they have the right to impose their ideals, lifestyle and tax style on us the wee sheeple.

The man was a horrible hypocrite and liar ( I know I already said he was a politician) or one of the stupidest creatures alive. How can one not know that the Massage parlor, (the "Velvet Touch Massage Parlor")  they frequent and receive shiatsu treatment from diminutive Chinese immigrant women ,who speak very little broken English, in a bed and not on a massage table, isn't a medical facility but a  whore house. It stretches credibility too far to believe it when he said "I didn't know".

He vowed to do away with every dirty rotten stinking private Health care facility in Canada, even if he did go to one himself for surgery. "I didn't know".

What he "didn't know" was plenty.

He was a man, he died, he is still the same man, good, bad, indifferent regardless of the cancer, regardless of death, it doesn't whitewash him nor should it...

The False Majority

Grrrrr Will this election ever really end? Will the spin ever really end?

I think not.

Lets take Elizabeth May for example. The Darling of the Greens who got their very first seat in the house.

Elizabeth won the Saanich - Gulf Island riding with 46.25% of the vote. That means that 53.74% of the people didn't want her to be their faithful ruler representative. But we have first past the post and the reality is she is legally able to disgrace  Parliament at her leisure.

But Ms. May is not happy taking her ill gotten gains and be done with it, No not our ballsy gal, she rejects the Conservative Majority on the grounds that they did not get over 50% of the popular vote:

May said she was disappointed by what she called the Conservatives' false majority, and vowed to fight for electoral change.

As a matter of fact I just caught Ms. May on T.V. spouting the same ridiculous argument how unfair it was and it needed to be changed to proportional representation or some such nonsense. Which means that individuals that NOBODY actually voted for would get to sit in the house. Her theory is since her party got 3% of the votes nationally she should have 3% of the seats in the house. Sweet forcing folks to accept people that even their locals realized weren't ready for prime time and rejected. . Of course we only hear this kinda of nonsense when folks don't get what they think they are entitled to. 

She said: "I will never shrink from speaking truth to power, nor will I embrace the politics of spin.

How about this Lizzy? Put your principles where your mouth is and resign your seat because you did NOT get the majority of votes in your riding. Your riding win is a  "false win" using your logic. I remember  when I first read  the US was no longer allowing Trial by Jury for sentences under 6 months anymore. This was disguised as a "cost cutting measure".  Right...it is a maneuver by the state to disallow an accused the opportunity to a fair trial judged  by his peers. The new trend in law enforcement is to "stack" several charges all worth 6 months or less, have a judge rubber stamp it as per the prosecution request and Voila you have a person serving consecutive sentences of 6 months or less that can stretch out decades.

Good job there rigging the system.

78-year-old libertarian rights activist Julian Heicklen and his wife were rousted from their bed in Teaneck NJ at 6 AM Friday morning by federal officers serving Heicklen an arrest warrant for failure to appear at an arraignment on charges of jury tampering.

Jury tampering in this case seems to consist of standing outside on a curb of a court house handing out pamphlets and talking to people  about Jury nullification and Fully Informed Jury Association, a perfectly legal  thing to do, but a real pisser to TPTB who would rather keep folks ignorant of their rights and or purpose as a juror.


Heicklen is/was looking forward to HIS day in court where he could argue his case and beef up the profile of Jury Nullification. Apparently TPTB have slightly different plans for Mr. Heicklen:

However, during his court appearance Heicklen was told that his trial for jury tampering will not be a jury trial because the penalty is 6 months or less.

How convenient for the prosecution.... no pesky judged by his peers nonsense will clutter up this trial. A penny saved is an accused turned guilty easily, no muss no fuss.......no justice.

Section 43 allows teachers, parents or a person standing in the place of a parent to use force as a means of discipline "if the force does not exceed what is reasonable under the circumstances." Force could include picking up a child and removing them from a situation against their will. 

Jeepers Celine you are aware that not a single vote has been cast for you since 1980 right? That no one gives a rodent's behind what your opinion is on anything, that you have been rejected at least three times by the lowly electorate? That you are nothing but a political crony appointment ? Perhaps you could just  collect your ill gotten gains and lay low like a normal thief would? Oh no not you Celine....

Parents do not own their children. Children are individuals. Their protection should therefore take precedence over the protection of adults and over the imaginary risk of legal action against them.”

That may be so, for some, then why are parents being held responsible for their childrens actions? ( well it can't be their children if the parents do not own them...well now I am just confused by this whole concept.)  If the children are NOT mine Celine do you imagine they are the property of the state? Should we just all hand over our ovaries and sperm. Let the state make some kinda cocktail and throw them in cute sterile test tubes and when these soldiers of the state are born place them in nice clean BORG maturation chambers run by  those whom you can trust to raise them?

I'm all about protecting the children....from abuse. I used to be in the child protection racket for that very reason. But discipline and abuse are two veeeeery different matters aren't they? I have never been a "spanker" myself. I think it lacks imagination and is counter-productive to a child learning respect for people and their bodies. It's just like schools failing to stop bullying because most teachers and the school system spends it's whole time bullying the child in one form or another. It defies logic, it is not MY practice to spank, but I can certainly see it as a part of the parenting arsenal. See Celine as you said children are indeed individuals, not every parenting technique  works the same way on each child. I know this may be a hard concept to grasp but some kids you just have to give "the look" to and voila you have instant compliance, another child? Not so much.

I also think that NOT teaching children, spoiling them, by not making them behave in a  acceptable manner is an under rated form of abuse.

Full disclosure: While I have never "spanked" I must confess that I have tapped a hand or two when that hand has been stretched out to touch plugs or a hot stove. No marks or injuries ensued from my actions Celine.

Come on Celine,  forcibly removing a child against their will is to be banned by yours truly? So if a child is about to walk into a busy street and does not feel like listening to a  request to not do such a dangerous thing it will be illegal to pick them up and remove them from the street against their will? So if I am camping and the children insist on walking on the rim of the fire pit a soft tap on the derriere after picking them up and forcibly removing them from the rim of the lit fire pit will be against the law? If a child continues to bite other children it will be illegal to pick that child up and put them in their room? Time outs are now on the outs?

That I wish I never heard about. I originally thought this was a parody to show how sick, depraved, (really there are no words to adequately describe this situation) government Officials are getting.

After the "peter meter" device is attached to their penises, they are subjected to all kinds of pornography to see what happens to their junk. This test then determines if they can seek asylum.

So I googled the peter meter and was shocked to find out it was indeedy real and in use. To add pride to the injury it was invented by psychologist Kurt Freund, who interestingly is at the Canadian Center for addiction and Mental Health right in Toronto Canada.

Far be it for me to judge the mental Health of a man that can come up with such a physically, spiritually, soul suckingly humiliating test for the Gay population, but I can hazard a guess.  Far be for me to judge what kind of Bureaucrats think this is OK to subject human beings too, but I can hazard a guess on that one too.

Only the most arrogant gay hating anti theists could possibly even give this procedure a split second of consideration. What animals, that must think that their subjects are just cattle or some how sub human.

A very useful device I guess to measure if their programs were working  to reprogram their sexual triggers. Just how does that work if you keep reintroducing images of their favorite stimulation?
